🚀 We’re Hiring – HR Admin & Payroll Team Leader
Veo is looking for a dynamic and experienced Team Leader to oversee our HR Admin and Payroll activities in Romania. You will ensure smooth administration of all personnel processes, accurate payroll (in collaboration with an external provider), and full compliance with local labor regulations, while leading a high-performing team.
Role Scope:
You will coordinate a team responsible for HR administration and payroll-related activities for employees based in Romania, acting as a key interface between internal stakeholders, external payroll providers, and local authorities.
What You’ll Do:
• Lead and coach the HR Admin & Payroll team, managing daily HR administration and personnel records with accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure proper handling of employee documentation, contracts, onboarding/offboarding and personnel file management.
• Supervise the outsourced payroll process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and alignment with company policies and Romanian legislation.
• Oversee compensation-related processes, payroll validations and reporting.
• Monitor and interpret changes in Romanian labor legislation, ensuring proper implementation within internal processes.
• Manage labor authority interactions, including handling audits and representing the company in front of ITM (Labor Inspectorate).
• Implement and optimize HR admin processes to improve efficiency and maintain data integrity.
• Prepare and present HR and payroll reports to senior leadership, acting as a trusted point of contact.
• Drive team development, performance management, and knowledge-sharing on HR policies and procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
• Proven experience in HR administration & payroll operations, predominantly within the Romanian market.
• Solid experience in managing labor inspections and representing the company in front of ITM.
• Experience in coordinating outsourced payroll processes.
• Strong knowledge of Romanian labor law, payroll regulations, and HR best practices.
• At least 1 year of team leadership experience.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accurate personnel records and payroll execution.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Fluent English; French is a plus.
