Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT professional in the role of an Enterprise Architect to help us align the organization’s IT strategy with its business goals.

You will play a crucial role in shaping our organization's IT landscape and driving innovation.

You will collaborate closely with your IT peers, and with business stakeholders, to understand the business needs and translate them into robust and scalable solutions.


Main Activities:

  • Develop and articulate a clear enterprise architecture vision aligned with the organization's business goals: organization, capabilities, technology, information, data, security, and technology;
  • Develop and implement long-term IT strategies aligned with business objectives;
  • Design and model the organization's IT infrastructure, applications, and data;
  • Drive the adoption of the Architecture IT Principles;
  • Translate strategic requirements into an enterprise information architecture;
  • Drive standardization of an inventory with all applications and technologies in the group;
  • Evaluate and identify IT-related risks;
  • Evaluate, recommend and lead the adoption of new technologies to drive innovation inside IT organization;
  • Establish and enforce IT standards, policies, and governance frameworks;
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and partners;
  • Make informed decisions based on technical and business considerations, balancing risk and opportunities;
  • Influence key decision-makers and stakeholders to support the enterprise architecture strategy;
  • Guide the organization through significant IT-related changes, ensuring smooth adoption and minimizing disruption;
  • Lead or contribute to the implementation of IT and business initiatives with IT components, by performing activities such as solution assessments, solution design, implementation estimates, complex dependencies and risks reviews, defining strategic/ tactical approaches for mitigating difficult transitions etc;
  • Lead or consult to Architecture Review Board (ARB);
  • Mentorship - support solution architects, and provide technical guidance also to colleagues across different areas of the IT organization;
  • Foster collaboration among teams and departments to ensure alignment and avoid silos;
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in the IT industry.

Key Deliverables (selection):

  • Produce target-state solution architecture, and perform assessments and gap analysis;
  • Produce lifecycle roadmaps of IT landscapes: Assess applications by business criticality and functional & technical fit;
  • Migration roadmap and project plans: Create roadmaps with all dependencies when moving from old systems to new ones.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field;
  • Knowledge in enterprise architecture, governance standards and best practices, hold certifications such as Togaf, Zachman, ITIL etc;
  • Previous experience as Architect, including other IT Lead roles;
  • Minimum 10 years of experience designing and implementing large-scale enterprise solutions, covering complex integrations and data migrations topics regarding ERP (SAP), CRM, BI and Data Warehouse, and/ or IT initiatives such as Database transitions or other major Infrastructure changes;
  • Broad and deep expertize of multiple technologies, including open source or commercial solutions;
  • Deep understanding of all major layers, from infrastructure and security, database,, data models and software applications;
  • Very good knowledge of design patterns, and how they can be applied in complex environments;
  • Solution design, functional analysis, modelling;
  • Knowledge and experience with Software Development Life Cycle, including DevSecOps tools and processes;
  • Strong knowledge of business processes, strategy, and industry trends – advantage in retail and/ or clearance industry;
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams;
  • Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex IT challenges;
  • Ability to evaluate and take short term/ long term decisions, depending on the context;
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
