Lead SAP Systems Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for a Tech Lead SAP Administrator to take ownership of the administration and maintenance of our SAP ECC 6 environment. This role is essential for ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our SAP systems, which support key business processes across the organization. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with technical and functional teams and will contribute to both daily operations and strategic improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Install, configure, and maintain SAP ECC 6 systems and related components

·        Manage and monitor SAP landscapes (Dev, QA, Prod), ensuring performance and stability

·        Apply patches and upgrades, optimize system health, and manage system resources

·        Refresh SAP environments and maintain system drivers (e.g., printers)

·        Administer user access, authorizations, and ensure policy compliance

·        Manage transport routes, ensuring consistency across environments

·        Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues

·        Provide support for incidents, changes, and upgrades

·        Document technical procedures and contribute to internal knowledge sharing

·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners

·        Participate in project meetings, offering technical expertise

Qualifications & Experience:

·        5+ years of experience as an SAP Administrator, with 2+ years specifically on SAP ECC 6

·        Proven track record in SAP installations, configuration, and system performance tuning

·        Strong understanding of SAP architecture and database administration

·        Ability to work on-call for system maintenance and urgent support

·        Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills

·        Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences

·        Passion for continuous learning and SAP best practices

·        Commitment to confidentiality and security of sensitive information

Education & Language Skills:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field

·        English – B2-C1 level; French – a plus
